Allegheny, in Pennsylvania, on the opposite bank of the Ohio from Pittsburg, lias two natioiul banks. The Allegheny First National Bank has a, capital of '350,000 dols. {<£70,000), surplus and profits (Dec. 3, 1907) 1+5.827 tlols. (■£20,165), and gross rioposits 1,317,801 dols. (,£263,578). The Alegheny Second National Bank lias a capital of 300,000 dols. (.€00,000), surplus and profits 843)243 dols. (&1G5,650), and gross deposits 1,015,901 dols. (oC209,180). A Now York cablegram published. yesterday slated that "Montgomery, eashior cf the Allegheny National Bank at Pittsburg, has been charged with absconding with ,£27,000' belonging to the bank. He pleads that he was money-mad."
