M'Na'o returned on Saturday evening from Dannevirko and Waipawa. On Wednesday night tho Minister goes South to open an; agricultural hall at Middleniarcli (Ce.ntral'Otago). Ho has not decided whether ho will return dircct'to Wellington or remain in tho: South, as ho has promised to .'attend tho Duncdin winter show on Juno 2, and tho Minister has also to visit portions of his old electorate that have gone over to Chit-ha, and to bid constituents good-bye. Vaile waa congratulated on his promotion to fill the position vacated by Mr. Davis in the Laud Transfer branch. : ■ z Mr. W. Fullford, father of Mr. H. Fullford, of Brooklyn, died at his residence, Nowtown, at 8 o'clock on Saturday night, after a fortnight's illness. The deceased, who was 61 years of age, arrived in New Zealand 35 years ago. He was for some years in business as a plasterer. He had 'friends in many parts of the Dominion, and, was highly respected by those who knew him. Ho leaves a grown-up family of five. Tho funeral will leave Newtown Avenue at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. • ■

The Mrs. Sievers " arrived in Wellington w'ith her husband in tho year 1848 in the ship Mariner. She at tained tho ripe old age of 82 years.. She leaves five, daughters, all married—Mr?. W. J.
