GOODS-SHED SPACE.
INCREASED ACCOMMODATION AT • WANGANUL A few days ago > Mr. S.. Carroll, secretary of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, wroto to the Minister for Railways supporting the request made for tho provision of more goods-shed accommodation on tho Wanganui wharf. Tho Minister has replied as follows " Sir,—With reference to your letter of tho 14th ult., supporting the application of tho Wanganui Chamber of Commerce for an addition to the goods shed on tho Wanr;anui wharf, I have tho honour to inform you that the matter has been engaging my attention for some time_ past, and after making oxhaustivo inquiries into tho matter I have instructed that the existing goods shed is to bo lengthened by 100 ft. The work will bo put in hand immediately, and when completed the shed, as enlarged, will, in m.y opinion, be amply sufficient to meet all tho requirements of the business at Wanganui for a very considerable timo to coine.
