the Central 'No-license Council met on Thursday night, the president (the Rev. W. J. \Villiams) presiding over a large attendance; • ' A .hearty welcome was given to. Sirs: Craig, who has :been engaged by the Council to, work in the city and suburbs ill the interests of No-license. The President, who had just returned from attending the Palmerstgn North -No-license Convention, . reported that a, very representative enthusiastic .and interesting gathering had been held.! Arrangements for the campaign rally to be held,.iii- Wellington on June 3 were reported to be welhin hand.\ The. rally will bo held in the -Yiyian Street Baptist Church, the programme .being an afternoon session, followed by a public tea and .musical programme in the ovoning/ It was stated that tho now No-licensejournal, . the "Fiery Cross" was approaching publication. It was also reported that the services ,of a forceful Clutrch.oß (England .lecturer on Nolicense, the llovv B. H, S. Hammond, of Sydney, had been ,• secured for. a brief tour of the Dominion, ,and the meeting decided to ask the Allianfce. to bool: one week for a Wellington mission? by Mr. Hammond.. !
