M'Nab, Minister for Lands, visited Dannevirko to-day for tho purposo of meeting residents with regard to tho requirements of tho district. He visited the ttiflo Jlango, in roferenco to a request of tho ' volunteers for an extended area and facilities, Ho agreed to considor the provision of a 'further ten acres. • The Chamber of'Commorco brought several matters affecting the district before Mr. M'Nab,. including tho purcliaso of tho Hawkc's Bay Timber Company's portion of Tamaki Block. Tho purchase of tho Otawliao Block was also mentioned. 'JVmorrow tho Minister will visit tlio Piripiri Block, and will meet tho Norsewood settlers regarding tho ' Rakautatahi Block, reaching Waipawa at night. On Friday he will visit the Lindsay and Forest Gate estates, returning to Waipuktirau at night. He will leave for Wellington on Saturday.
