Rigg, M.L.C., in acknowledging the honour of election as the first honorary member of the Wellington Boxin<» Association,' intimated his intention of ° can-' tinning to do all in his power to foster the sport.. ' , J. Godfrey, professional featherweight champion of the Dominion, has agreed to bo matchcd for a 15-round contest at the Opera House on September 1. Entries for the amateur provincial championships at Wellington on July 16 and 17 promise to bo numerous. The Manawatu AsBociation intend to send four competitors bantam, feather, light, and heavy—to parti-' cipato. They will bo accompanied by a firstclass trainer.
