REMITS ADOPTED. ' [BT TELEGEAFII.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] v /' Hawera, May 13. •The eighth annual conference of' the Taranaki Provincial Farmers' Union began to-day, « wlion a long order paper was considered. The following remits were adopted:— (1): That-no system of land'tenure, is satisfactory that does ; not provide for! sottlers acquiring the freehold. ■(•2) Urging' the importation of an adequate supply of efficient labour. (3) Protesting against any mombor of a ConBoard fomenting a dispute, and then-adjudicating oin tlio same. , . \ (4) Opposing preferenco to unionists as being arbitrary, hampering to industry, and detrimental to the prosperity, of tho Dominion. (5) That a determined ollort'bo mado to securo full valuo for actual benefit t-o land for . improvements other than visible. .... (6) That in tho sale of grass seeds and cereals ah implied warranty of purity bo given unless specially stated to the contrary. Other remits have yet to be considered, Mr. E.
