SHARP ADVANCES. , . (BT IELEOBAPH.—riIESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunstlln, May 12. News from Sydney of an atlvanco of sd. per bushol in the prico of wheat has precipitated a boom in local wheat. On Monday afternoon, upon receipt of the new 3 from Sydney, 4s. BJd. on trucks was refused for a lino of 1500 sacks, and subsequently the sale of this lino was reported at 45.. 9d. The next movo came from the New Zealand Flourmillers' Association, which decided upon an advanoo of £1 por ton in tho prico of flour. This advice was received locally at midday to-day, and the advance in flour immediately l'ollected in a further riso in wheat. This afternoon 4s. lOd. on trucks at northern stations was refused for a line of 100 sacks, ss. being .asked. The market closed, firm atos. on trucks, with very littlo offering, a majority of the holdors, being-con-tent to watch developments, i It is considered that the advanco in Sydney is duo to drought conditions.
