Glasson requesting tho Trustees to : grant' a return passage to a young man who had.arrived in New Zealand a short time ago and was unable to find work. The Board considered tlio matter-in committee, and, on coming into; open meeting again, resolved to .write to Mr. Glasson,. informing him that the principle of assisting immigrants to return Homo should not be acted upon.. • . Bolton. "Then there is language,'' replied the chairman. Mr. Bolton expressed tlio opinion that tho proper place for. such a person was tlio Inebriates' Home,; not the Ohiro Home, or any liko institution.' Somo doubt existed in tho minds of members as to the conditions of admission to' the Inebriates' Homo, and, ■pntil this was cleared up it was resolved to grant tho 'applicant ■'.•temporary .aid.
