1 ,(BY TELEGRAFH. —SPKCIAI» CORRESPONDENT.) Masterton, May 11. The Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association held its annual /Snooting at Masterton last Mr.-A1 Hendry in the chair. Tho Treasurer reported, that the ..year's- operation; showed £2 14s. lid. profit. 'l'hei'o was now a' debit balanco at tha bank of ■ ;021- 18s. 4d., assets were £26, and ( outstanding/ subscriptions totalled about £320. It was decided to instruct tho Secretary to sue, for outstanding .. sub scriptions. Tho following officers, were elec? ted for the ensuing year Patron, Mr. Wi G. Beard; president, Mr. W. H. Bectha'm; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. I), Cruicksh'ank, J. Payton, Mrs. TV. H. Beotham, Mr. A; G. Major,. Dr., W. H. Ilosking, and' Mr.' J. Caselherg; coramittcc, Messrs-. A. J.'Part-on,-T. H. Rutherford, T. W. Barnes, A. Hendry, G. Hyde, Hi. Spackman, G. C. Marshman, T. Moore, A. Snodgrass, ,R. E. Graham, A. Hnnberg, H. Mailely, H. L. Pickett, T. G. Hoar, T. J. P. Cobb. It was decided to procure pens . for .tho show from the Wellington. Association, to hold the show in tho Drill Hall ariain. The show dates sot down by .the. Nov; Zealand Association, July 10 and 11, were approved. A mooting of persons 1 interested in' tho formation of a Choriil Society was held tonight, the Mayor (Mr. P. L. Rollings) in 'it he. chair. It was decided to form a society, and a provisional committee was set up "to canvass for mombers. Tho Masterton Operatic Society met tonight, and decided to-abandon the "Bohemian Girl," which was rehearsed last year, and substitute a Gilbert and Sullivan opera, to bo chosen late- on
