1 MAIN ROAD ROUTE FAVOURED. RATEPAYERS'. ASSOCIATION, JTORMED. To assjst tlio poll to-morrow in connection with the proposed' .tramway to Wadestown a meeting' of ratepayers of the hill suburb was held. last evening in the Wadestqwn Schoolroom. Mr. W. Gotch was in' tho chair. . About forty ratepayers wore present, yaud the proceedings were characterised 'by unanimity and enthusiasm. . . . > The pros and cons of the alternative routes were discussed, and it was decided to unanimously support tho. main road, route. Arrangements wero also made for assisting at Vtho poll' to-morrow. Tho meeting also decided to form a Ratepayers' Association to waitch the interests of the district. Mr. Alexander Meely was elected chairman, and Mr. G. Hanrappy secretary. About forty members were elected.
