IN the matter of a proposed Bill or Act Intituled aiii Act to confer certain powers upon the Wellington Harbour Board and the Corporation of the Borough of Miramar, and to enable the Wellington Harbour Board to acquire certain lands and property, reclaim landa l'rom the sea, execute works and borrow monies, and providing for the payment to the Board of the value of the improvement to adjoining lands arising therefrom. Pursuant to tht Standing. Orders o£ tho House of Representatives relating to Private Bills, tho Wellington Harbour Board gives notice that, either before or within fourteen . days after tho meeting of the General Assembly of New Zealand, to be held next after the date ' of this notice, a petition will be presented, through tho Honourable tho Speaker and Members of Parliament, Members of the House of Representatives, by it praying and. applying ■ > for leave to bring in a Private Bill to be called "The Wellington Harbour Board Reclamation ' and Empowering Act, 1905." The objects of the said application and Billaro as follows 1. To enable tho . Board to purchaso or taka compulsorily, under the provisions of " The Public Works Act, 1905," the right, title, and' , interest of the Wellington Patent Slip Company,' Limited," in certain lands, comprised in , Certificates of Title, Volume 20, Folio 127, and , y Volume 21, Folio' 287,.-and described in the ■ Seventh and Eighth Schedules to tho proposed Bill, and shown as such Schedules on a plan deposited in. the office of the Marine Department in Wellington, and marked M.D,. 3187, v together with tho buildings, machinery, plant, and assets of tho company, and all rights, privileges, and appurtenanccs appertaining thereto, ; aud on such acquisition to enable tho Patent Slip Company to wind-up under the provisions of Sections 262 to 265, both inclusive, of The Companies Act, 1903,-and to enable the Board to doviato tho existing road through the said lands. . . ; 2. To provido that the' Compensation Court, ■ in determining the amount of compensation to ■ be paid in respect of lands compulsorily taken,. shall not. take into account any . increase. of value arising from the works of tne Board, and also'enabling tho Board to convey land in'lieu of paying money awarded for compensation. i. To authorise the Board, to construct streets, and works ancillary thereto on any land referred to in tho proposed Bill.' 6. Schedules on the said plan marked M.D; , 3157, aud on such closure, and on' tho Board constructing other streets in lieu thereof, to convey tho same to the Board, and empowering < ! . - tho Board ,to convey portion of tho lands described in the said Schedules to the Miramar i Borough for street purposes, and providing that '• so long as the lands described in the Baid Scho : dules,shall remain the property of,the Board, .-/' and'not be let or leased, the rates payable by the .Board shall remain the same as at present. To enable the Board, for the purpose of ■rectifying boundary lines, ..street levels, and, provi'iling access,' to purchase' or tako iii exchange adjoining lands, or sell or give in ex--change lands the property of the Board. .
