Tho chairman gave a resume of tho year's work. The secretary (Mr. W. -6. Gould) submitted a balance-shcct, showing a credit balance of £7 9s. The following ofOcers were elected: —President, Mr. W. H. Smith (re-elected); vice-president-, Mr. J. Wilson j (re-elcctod); secretary and treasurer, Mr. \V. G. Gould (re-elected); committee, •Messrs. H. E. Wright, H.- Batt, C. 1. Weyorgang, Albert Moore, and P. Furneau. In reply to a deputation oil Saturday, the ' Hon. G. Fowlds stated that- up to the present lie was not convinced that another school was necessary for Hastings.
