" ' ■ ■ Pursuant to tht" Standing Ordors of _ the House of Representatives, relating '.to Private Bills, tho Wellington Harbour Board- : gives notico that,. either before or 'within fourteen days after tho meeting of-the General l Assembly of Now Zealand; to be held next after,tlio date of this notice, a petition will be presented, through the Honourable tho Speaker and Members of Parliament, Members of the House of Representatives, by it praying and applying for leave to bring in a Privato Bill to bo called "Tho Wellington Harbour Board Reclamation and Empowering Act, 1903." , - The objects of tho said'application and Bill aro as follows:— 1. To enablo. tho Board to purchase or take compulsorily, under tho provisions of " The Public Works Act, 1905,". the right, title, and interest of the Wollington Patent Slip Company, Limited, in certain lands, comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 20, Folio 127, and Volume 21, Folio 287, and described in the Seventh and Eighth Schedules to the" proposed Bill, and shown as such, Schedules on' a plan deposited in tho-offico of tho Marino. Department in Wellington,' and marked M.D.', 3187, together with the buildings, "machinery, plant, and assets of- the company, and all rights, privileges, and appurtenances appertaining thereto, and on such acquisition to enablo the- Patent Slip Company to wind-up uuder the provisions of Sections 262' to" 265, both inclusive, of The Companies Act, 1903, and to enablo. tho Board to doviato tho existing road through 1 the.said lands. 1 , ; 1 : • 2. To provide that the Compensation, Court, in determining tho amount of compensation, to be paid in respect of lands compulsorily: taken, shall not take- into accqunt .any, ;in'crease of value arising from tho works of the Board, and also enabling tho' Board to*'cdnveyUand'.m lieu of paying'- money awarded-.for compensation; ' 4. To vest in the Board certain lands in' Evans Bay, bcing'luiid covered bv water, and bping the land described in' the Tenth and Eleventh Sohediiles to the ' proposed Bill, and being-shown as'.such Schedules on-tlio said plan marked M.D. 3187. To vest in'.'the Board the lands upon which the Boat;SHeds at'Clydo Quay are constructed, being, tho lands described in the Twelfth Schedule to the proposed Bill, and shown as such' Schedule on a plan-deposited in the office of'the Marine Department in ;Wellington, and marked M.D. 318 S. ■ 11. To euabla.tho Board to apply to a Court constituted under the proposed Bill and' The Public Works' Act, 1905," to obtain payment from each and every person having any- estate or interest in land, being a part of the lands comprised in Sections 2 to '8 tfnclusite)/ori the plan of the Evans Bay District, and Sections 1 to 19 (both inclusive) on tho plan of tho Watts Peninsula District, for the increased ;■ value given to the., said lands through the works of . the' Board. ■ . . , ' . 12.
