[BI TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wanganul, May 8. The contractors for the construction of the electric tramways are pushing on with the orection of the car-shea and powor-houso, and the preliminary work. The Mayor states that ho expects the trams to be running by Christmas. The rails are expected to arrivo in three or four months' timo, and the work of laying them will commenco as soon after as possiblo. Tho Gonvillo Town Board has accepted a tender for tho supply of water pipes and fittings; and every expedition will bo used in pushing on with tho reticulation of that suburb.
