FUND; (BY TELEGRAPH.-—PRESS ASSOCIATION;) m, ' W I T , Auckland, May 7. • The Grand , Lodge . of, Mason's,- after; a* Jongthy. dobate, carried a resolution repeals' mg clause 48; of the constitution, and substituting a, clause providing that overy ap-: plication for a \varrant to hold' new lodges shall be by petition to the 1 Grand Master, signed b.v at least-seven Master Masons regularly registeredunder the constitution. A motion to alter the system of voting in Grand Lodge was negatived. Auckland,; later. At the Masonic Grand. Lodge sitting today, tho representatives' levy was again fixed at uinoperico per member. A' motion in favour of abolishing" pluraP voting on tho'part of representatives of lodges was negatived/ and so also was a motion to locate the Grand Lodgo office in each Centre for three years, instead of two. /, A motion-enabling the' Grand Lodge to consider applications for charters for new. lodges, on. tho i>etition of seven Master Masons, was carried by 115 to .85. It was resolved-to abolish the title of. Grand Superintendent, and' to' substitute Provincial Grand Master. Tho question of procuring a new .design', for Master Mason's certificate was , referred to , the Board of General Purposed. 1 . 1 . Tho completed'retnrn of tlio state of the Widows and Orphans ' and Masons'' Fund shows that tho amount raised -within tho last two years, in answer to the Grand Master's appeal, is i£<J6G2 IGs. 7d. ; Tlia amounts subscribed by the several, districts wero 'as follow Auckland £1226, . Otago £824, Canterbuiy £807, Wellington £686, Southland £532, Hawko's Bay and Gisborno £203, West Coast £172, Taranaki £143,; Nelson and Marlborough £65. Tho capital value of the fund is now £10,660. This will probably yet be i supplemented by 'another £200 still in transit. • -■
