News was received in Wellington yesterday morning of the death at Duriedin of Mrs. Arkle, mother of Mrs. (Dr.) Findlay. Mrs. Findlay 'has been in Dunedin for the. past week.. - - ' Miss 'Rachel Richmond 'is spending 1 her holiday.'/-in Nelson. . : ; • Miss .Rita Simpson is visiting friends in Masteiton. Miss' Gardner, of Christchurch, is at present. t'he guest of Mrs. R. L. Loiighnan, and lator cflie is going to friends in the North. . New Zealand is shortly to be visited by the travelling secretary of .the World's Christian Federation, Miss Rouse,, who is at present in Australia, where she has been hold•ingi a series of successful meetings ■ among tho_ women students and schoolgirls of the ; various centres. She is to finish a fortnight's work in Sydney, and then come, to New Zealand, visiting all our larger .towns. _Miss Lloyd Hassell ' is ' .visiting- Mrs. Kdbbell at Ngarata.' .... ;. -■
