« Lnst night, the United Irish League hold tin first of a series of social gatherings to take placo during the winter. Tho function tool placo at Lyons' Cafo, Willis-Street, and wai very successful. Mr. M. Kennedy, chairman delivered a few remarks, and a programmo o musical items, interspersed with toasts, wai Rono through. Tho speakers wero: 'Messrs S. J. Moran, LL.B., J. Fitzgerald, D M'Laron, J. C. Fitzgerald, and M. O'Kano Itoms were contributed by Miss M'Kay, anc Mossrs. M'Laughlin, A..Footo, 0. Footo Archer, J. Hines, and R. Petersen. Mr. M O'Kano proposed the toast of "Tho Irisl Nationalist Party."
