INDUCTION AT KILBIRNIE.
The ■ Presbytery of 1 Wellington' ' met in ] O'Donnell's Hall, Kilbirnic, last evoniiig to ] induct.the Rev. W. Douglas,' .late of Hokitika, into the'.pastoral ohargO ;of. Kil-. birnie,. Miramar, ■ and Roseneath.There , was a very large, attendance of thi: coiigrega- 1 tion. The Rev, J. Gibson Smith,' Moderator of- tho .."Wellington Presbytery, t presided and - preached,; after which the usual :qUcstions • were.'put .to Mr. .Douglas and satisfdctorily answered. Then, after prayer, Mr. Douglas was . formally inducted into the'charge. Tho 1 r ßev. J. Kennedy . Elliott- addressed some ' suitable . observations to the ministorj and i the ■ Ilev.
