Stowo. . Tho number of team's under tho oointbrol of tho following Unions was reported, to, bo:— AVollington, 80; South Canterbury"., 35; Hawke's. Bay, GO; Canterbury, 07; Korowhenua,' 13; and Bush districts, 11. ■ An application was received for a g'rrint towards tho cost of tbo tour to New South /Wales of tho New Zealand University team. Mr. Wallburton moved, and Mr. AVylio. seconded, that tho v,Titers be informed that' tho Committeo could not see its way to comply with tho request. Tho motion was carricd. Tho Nelson Union applied that' tho following now rulo be confirmed: —"That for all competitions, roforeos should bo appointed by tho Referees' Association, subject to tho approval of the Uriion."
