Salt is a necessity oi life, every one know: that, but,wo do not all recognise what a nurn ber of.uses it has,in the household, even iF wi take away its culinary, purposes. ■ A littli salt rubbed on teacups will removo tea-stains ! if theso have not:been Icft 'on too long; i will also; help to clean any pot vessel. Two teaspoonfnls of sal in half a pint of tepid water form a valuabl and handy emetic in case of poisoning. Bag of hot salt laid on will euro many a pai: and ache. While salt and water is the pre per thing in which to rinso any garmen whoso colour is likely to run, it is also goo for washing willow furniture as well as th can© seatings of chairs, and drying those 1 . the sun will tighten loose strands.
