The road for some time !past las been in .a very undesirable state. " i. :' The vital statistics for ■ the ironth of April are as follows:—Deaths, 12: marriages, 17: births, 24. A rather interesting feature; of last quarter's statistics was the fact that out of. 141 births for the quarter 71 were females and 70 males. This, tho Registrar states, is the first time to his knowledge vthat the number of females liavo been higher than tho males.
