'■[from ova: spKCiAr, correspondent.] Ekotahuna, May 1. ; One of the best samnW of coal yet discovered in tho Forty-lfile Bush —and'there hav'o been many—was recently unearthed on tho, property of Mr. Cooper at Rongomai. The seam was found in a peculiar manner. The recent rain caused a big rock to bo displaced, ar.d, on examining the spot, Mr. Cooper discovered what apparently is a rich seam of coal. The samples procured are of Cp-V. a soft composition, but it is intended to sink a shaft in order to ascertain if tho underground material is harder. The settlers in ' the - vicinity are interesting themselves greatly in tho'matter. _ .
