The following additional reports of the anniial elections of school committees in tho Wellingtbn Education District on Monday, evening are now to luuul:— mitchelltown. The proceedings at the annual election of the--Mitchelltown School District Committee which iwere presided ovei' by Mr. AV. J. Foster, were of a lively character, and at times bordered on the'farcical. Needless to say, the bilriiing topic was tho Bible-in-schbols .niiestion. . Tho ahiiual i'cpbrt stated that the grant front the Education Board, was £31 : 7s; 3d., .'and a special grant of £5 was mr.do ior. : s;as installatibn. The total from all soitltes -wns £94 -lis. Bd„ ilid after the expenses for the year theto was ft credit balance of £3 7s. 3d. Tho outgoing committeo was re-elected as i.follows:—Messrs.' V..Ridley, A. Cooloy, AV. j. Foster, V. Carmody, A. C. S. French s D. i Murphy, arid C. D. Robertson. Mr. AV. J. Foster was elected chairman, and Mr. D. Murphy secretary and treasurer. EASTBOURMfc. About sixty householders wore present at the election of tho i School at Eastboiirne.' A slight increase in tho attendance during tho past year was reported, about twenty names having been added to tho school register. Tho balance-sheet and report were adopted.
