SMITH'S' (Newcastle--oia=Tyiie) WIRE ROPES I The Edinburgh and District Tramways Co., Ltd., have the largest system of cablf tramways in Great Britain, and tho sccond largest system in the world. During th< last, three years they have placed four contracts for tramway cables with J.nos. ana Wm Smith, . Ltd., Newcastle-on-Tyne, amounting in all to 1500 tons. The following is a copy of a letter received from the General Manager confirming the contract of 1906: — .
