The Brougham Hill, -the Wellington, and the..Newtown courts wore.' brought into service, and some very good games were witnessed, 0110 of the most interesting being the match in tho Ladies' Championship Singles botweon Miss Nunneley and Miss Travers, which , took place about 2.30 p.m. The first game in the,: first Set was perhaps the most keenly contested, and the result was in doubt for it long time, " deuco" being announced by the umpire- on -seven or eight occasions. Miss Nuniieloy's superior placing 'gave. her. opponent a lot of running: about; to do, and she got somewhat tired, although' she put in a lot. of . good work.
