Mr. Jtruger handed the money referred to. to tho'. late Government when ho quitted tho Transvaal, it was to he expended by the various military • commanders.- ' General 'Botha offered Lord Milner"a financial Statement, not tho money if self. ■ \-v • The cable nVessage mentioned above stated i that the' Transvaal Premier had said that the lato '.Mr. .Kroger left, li,ooo sovereigns and 48,000 blub-backs, whi'eh had been offei'ed to Lord Milner (late High Commissioner for, ' South Africa), who refused to . accept the money, which was still'in the hank. ■
