FIRE AT AUCKLAND.
(BY TELEQRArH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) ■■■ x l '- ' Auckland, April 13. A fire at the " Star " office 'early on Sui* day morning originated in the stereo-room. The Fire Brigade attacked the. flames sa promptly that they were confmed to one floor at the back of the premises. The damage is estimated at between £500 and £1000; it is covered' by an insurance.' Tho staff worked energetically to get the plant in.':- working order, and repairs werb effected sufficiently to onablo work. to. bo resumed as usual to-day.. When the Fire-Brigade was proceeding to the firo, a hose-reel w'ith two men capsized when turning tho corner of Fort Street. The men sustained iujuries which are not serious.
