« RETIREMENTS AND RESIGNATIONS. ALLOWANCES AND PENSIONS. A number of claims for retiring allowances ind annuities carao before the meeting' of the Superannuation Hoard yosterday, the Hon. Dr. Findlay presiding. ' ILL-HE,VLTIi ALLOWANCES. Section 10 of the Public Service Superanmation Fund Act provides for the retirement >n an allowance of contributors who are medially unfit for duty. A proviso is added that nst'alments of tho pension may be forfeited >y tlio hoard if tho contributor, being under 35 years, fails to, submit himself for medical ixamination when required."' Under this section allowances were granted to the followng:—Alex. Connell, Marino Department, retired on April 30, aged 59 years, service 34 years; Marion J., M'Kellar, Postal Departiilpnt, retired ou February 1, aged 38 years, service 17 years; Fred Samuel, Lands and Survey Department, retired on April 30, aged :,2 'years, service 34 years. \ EETIIUNG ALLOWANCES.
