Dr. Robb, of Belfast, reports that a new serum for- the treatment of oerobro-spinal 'meningitis has reduced tho death rate'from 75 to 30 per cent. ■■ Many cases of cerebro-spinal meningitis occurred during the first half of 1907 in Scotlaud,-' IGOO or more being reported, to tlio Scottish Local' Government, Board, of which more than. GOO we'ro returned from Glasgow. Numerous .cases also,, occurred in :Edinburgh, and' Dundee, and isolated cases in the; country at largo. In .England the ; number reported 1 was muqli smaller, but as many as 2p occurred in a single month (Mii.v)-in London.
