That, Mr. W. Dobson, custodian of' the; Basin 'Reserve, be granted a month' 6, leave of absence. . That the following increases .in wages be granted:—G. White, sexton,- Bolton Street Cemotery, from Bs. 6d.'to 9s. per day; W. Dob'son, custodian of the Basin Reserve, from £2.95. to £3 per week, without' light allowance; John Heath, custodian,.Nairn,Street Reservo 'and o'thers, from Bs. 6d. to 9s. per day; A. Ballinger as Chairman, and the acceptance of the tender of the Wellington Woollen Company for the supply of Fire Brigade uniforms for the year 1908-9. The Committeo recommended that an additional 1000 feet of fire hose bo purchased from the Napier Fire Brigado Supplies Co., as recommended by tho Superintendent of Fire Brigade.—Tho report was adopted. MISCELLANEOUS. v General accounts amounting to £14,288105. 3d. wbro passed for paymont. The By-Laws and Street Lighting Committee reported tho acceptance of tho following tenders for annual supplies:—lronfoundry work, Messrs. McKcogan Bros.; lirass and zinc work, T '.Ballinger and Co.; bricks and lime, Murphy's Estate.—Tho report way adopted. Tho Libraries Committee reported the acccptance of the following tenders for tho supply of books, periodicals, and tho work of bookbinding for tho Library:—Books, Messrs. Whitcombe and Tombs.
