MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

On. Wednesday night a 1 portion of the D.I.C. stiff arranged a delightful entertainment alt'the Missions to Seamen Institute, which was crowded,in every part. Mr. Jas. Moore, tho missioner, occupied the chair. The programme was well received, every item being encored. Tho following ladies and gentlomen contributed:—Misses White, M'Keowbn, Toohill, Harbron, Hawthorn.. Messrs. Thier, Richards, Jackson, and M'Carthy. Several very popular choruses woro sung by. the audience in good style, to the accompaniment of"Mr. Thicr,at_'the piano. A most amusing conundrum competition was won by sailorsfiom ships in port. During a short interval the Missionerdelivercd a temperance address, resulting in men signing the pledge of total abstinence. Light refreshments wore partaken of, and a hearty vote of thanks to the performers concluded the proceedings.
