NEW ZEALAND INSTITUTE OF SURVEYORS.
Mr. James M'Kerrow (President, in the chair), tho Hon. 6. F. Richardson, and Messrs. Sladdcn, Fulton, and Garrott, were present at a meeting of tho Council of tho New Zealand Institute of Surveyors held yesterday afternoon. A lotter was received from the Queensland Institute of Surveyors intimating that they i had decided to support the motion, of tho ; New Zealand Institute of Surveyors in its : endeavour to bring about some alteration in the present method of preparing and conducting the survey examinations. The Hon. G. F. Richardson announced that tho preamble to .the Bill relating to recipro- j city between surveyors throughout tho Brit- i ish Empire, drawn up by himself, had been i approved by Cabinet. This matter is to be j dealt with at tho Conference of the Survoy i Boards to be held at Sydney at Easter. Mr. ' Richardson cxpoeta to loave for Sydnoy next / Friday. {
