INTENSIVE FARMING.
.Mr. C. Elliott (says our Featherston correspondent) has grown a crop ,of 400 ' pi© melons on a piece of ground 19 yards by 8 yards, one weighing as much as 451b. They suffered from'a shortage of water, but were well-manured.
