: —-—s — . A NARROW ESCAPE. «Y TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPTRIGIIT, (Rec. April 5, 4.15 p.m.) Sydney, April 5. The barque Dunloe, which arrived from Lyttelton six weeks ago, took fire at two, o'clock this morning. The vessel was being dismantled, and only a caretaker was aboard. Tho riding; lamp fell froni the fore-stay and set fire to a quantity of loose timber. The fire did a good deal of damage before it was extinguished. ' The caretaker narrowly escaped death, being rescued from his bunk in tho nick of time by sailors from a neighbouring ship. The iron barque Dunloe, 701 tons, was built at Glasgow iu 1870.
