A belated Parliamentary Paper—odq of a batch just come to hand—gives a statement of the receipts and expenditure .of the Now' Zealand International Exhibition from May. 27, 1905, to October 31, 1907. Tho receipts total £218,505 2s. 4d, and the expenditure £239,970 7s. ojd-i leaving a debit balanoa of £21,465 ss. lid. ■ . i Tho largest, item on the receipt side is "To. Government advances, £87,617. 75.," but against this appears "By refunds to Government, £27,11/ 75." Omitting shillings and pence, space fees brought iu £24,656; admissions £44,322, season tickots . £8433, selling rights commissions £7107, side-show royalties £5854, Concert Sail rovenue £5166, ■Vrt Gallery £1246, Bosses o 1 th' Barn Band £31115. The largest item on . the expondituro side is £07,822 for the main lmilding. Tho statuary cost £3776, tho working expenses of the Concert Btnll were £2859, and of tho Art Gallery £4044. .Other items of. expenditure are: Besses o' th' Barn Band £2528, wages of gatekeepers and attendants £3376, salaries and offico. expenses £7612. The realisation of properties at tho close of the Exhibition brought in £16,469, in addition to expenses recovered £436. Tho expenses- nf were £3392, besides refunds £195. . ..
