Auckland Industrial, 'Association's movement for.' an exhibition of New Zealand mado goods, it has been decided to inaugurate ■■the; same as ; a M. Now Zealand industrial week." 1 Circulars have been' sent out, to tho various shopkeepers in Auckland asking them to state which of the three following proposals they approve:— ■ (1) A shop window display only. : . (2)A shop window display in conjunction withra collective exhibition in a hall. (3) An'exhibition in a hall, only.' 4-Tboso circularised have been asked, supposing , they favour oither of the first two schemes, whether they will allow their shop windowsto be used, and if. so .what spaco will be' available. . To-morrow tho committee;' of-., the 'Association intend visiting the" principal shopkeepers to coufcr on tho subjects ;■ So far the replies to tho circulars havo been, favourable. So far as can he gathered, the idea of; holding tbo exhibition in oiio form or another <is being heartily taken up, and'there is every prospect of one of . the proposals eventuating. The local Association is in communication with the Wellington and Canterbury Industrial Associations iyith a view to concerted action being taken. ' The local exhibition would not bo- confined to Auckland goods, but would embrace all classes of . Dominion manufactures.. . • Mr.'J. H. Mackie, secretary of the Auckland Industrial Association, is already receiving'inquiries from the south as to tho form theexhibition-:will take, and it'would appear that the only question. that will need to be faced will be how to keep the display within'a reasonable limit .
