Moulo now calls, these statements hearsay rumours, and Canon ' Bardsley has written on'the support'as .follows: —"As a matter of justice and honour, wijth the evidence now before me, I cannot confirm my statement to tho Bishop of Lichfield." ." ■ ' Nevertheless, Clarke, of' Melbourne, says he holds written statements in connection, with , tho No. 2 charge, tho gravity of which justifies his refusal to reinstate Mr. Nash as incumbent of .' The vestry of Christ Church, Geelong,' resolved to give loyal 'support to no other nomination but that of Canon Nash, unless documentary-evidence was produced to alter tho decision.
