The object .of this measure, which ;is to be introduced next session, is to onfvbld tho Corporation to lease certain portions of tho Town Belt to ainateuir sports' .clubs. ■; It "provides that , tho;'Corporation may: let any part of tho Town Belt to such clubs, by . private contract, .'at a peppercorn rental,- or a, rental' based on: the_ gate-money and other receipts incidental to'the : club's use of the ground, or fixed on any' other basis at tho discretion of tho Council.' .- ' Tho public will have right 1 of access to the gfoiirids wlien not in use .for field sports.' ■ * The lessee, will "have power -to charge on 120 days ill the 'year, up to 2s. for admission to the ground and grandstand, or Is. for admission to the ground only. 7 "'7 ; '' No leaso will.compriso ah area exoceding thirty acfes.' ahd the terra .' is ' limited ito twenty-one years, with the right of renewal.
