Daraago dono was valued at £299 195., and after a lengthy hearing the Magistrate gave: judgment for £100 damages, holding' that the farmer in. lighting the fire on property adjoining tho ' plaintiff's was responsible, although there wero-many- other fires, in the district. Mr* M'Carthy expressed the ' opinion that legislation should be passed providing for the ' regulation of _ fire-lighting..
