It wao decided to hole) tho annual conferonco at Ifeilding on May 2G. A report was.received from Mr. Cooper in connection with tho shearers' dispute. Tho award has been filed, and tho Court , will sit at Palmerston on Thursday host. • ■ , A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Cooper for the valuable services rendered in connection with'the dispute. Tho organisor reported upon tho results of his canvass in Wavorloy, Wnngnnui, and Pahiatua. In tho Marton district a branch •has. boen';'opericd up with 130 members.' Generally speaking, the work of organisation is proving very satisfactory. , ' PALMERSTON BRANCH. Tho Palmerston branch of tho- Farmers'Union will moot on Saturday to arrange for the annual dinner.
