ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The statutory mooting of the Onslow Borough Council, convened for the purpose of revising the rolls, was i hold', last evening, the Mayor (Mr. J. G. Harkness), presiding. ■In response to a unanimous invitation to agnin stand for the . borough mayoralty, Mr. llarkness consented.

At the last monthly meeting of the Council, the Mayor proposed that , a committee, of the Council meet the Khandallah Domain Board with reference to the question of control of the Domain by the Borough Council. A resolution had now been sent down to the effect that as the watershed talcen over by the Council was adjacent to the Domain, and the Domain Board had no source of'revenue except in the form of L voluntary contributions, it was in the interests of the Domain that its control should bo baleen'over by the Council, in terms bf - section 9 of-'thd Domain Board Act, 1904. It was agreed to receive the resolution,-and, oni the motion of .the Major, it. was decided .a Board, composed of three residents; of Khandallah, and three members 'of tlio Council! should be constituted'to. administer the affairs of the Domain, the Board to make: recommendations to the Council for its 'approval and authority.
