[. A wedding of interest to many residents I of Wellington and tho Hutt took placo yesterday afternoon at St- James's Church, Lowor Hutt, when Mr. S. Wheeler, son of |,tho late Mr. ■W. F. Wheeler, formerly manager of the Union Steam Ship Company/ires', married to Miss Elsie Eliott, daughter of Mr. Huntley Eliott, of Lower Hutt, foriherly TJndor-Sccretary for Mines.' The' bride looked in -an 1 empire frock' 'of . white chiffon' taffetas' with transparent • yoke, and bretelles and' trimming./of'-, handsomo silkworked lace; ' Slio wore a wreath, of orange blossoms ' and bridal veil, " and carried a shower -bouquet. ' Her' sister, -Miss Winifred Eliott,_ and Miss "-Maude'Wheeler; sister of the bridegroom,;acted as bridesmaids; 'They wore- empire; gowns, of salmon : pijik chiffon taffeta's, trimmed' with pink chiffon of' the same shade, and; white lace worked'.with' silk. ' Their : pink'glaco hats, .with brims, upi turned "in front; 'were trimmed with' bunches of black coquo feathers. They carried bouquets of, pink -belladonna lilies ' with : pale heliotrope- streamers;: The littlo bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Eliott, nieco of the bride, wbre a shortPwaisted pink silk frock and sash, and Napoleon-hat; with big rosettes at'each side. Mr.' G. Hull-acted as best man, and Mr. G. Nathan was; groomsman. The ceremony was performed, by tho Rev. J. JoAes.. .A Wellington resident visiting Sydney sends us an account of the marriage of Miss Emma Duck, daughter of Mr. Thomas Duck, of Wellington, to Mr. Walter Harmer, of Eden, New South Wales. The wedding took place at St. Stephen's Church, Sydney, on March 16, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Ferguson.
