Prospects in connection with the Easter manoeuvres aro now bearing a much brighter appoarance than they were a few weeks ago and tho Seddon Horse and Auckland Mounted Rulos aro expected.to be well represented at tho camp. Tho Seddon Horse will go under canvas seven days prior to. Easter, and they are expected to muster about thirty stroiip- at tho manoeuvres. Of course, there wilf bo somo, volunteers who claim that thev cannot attend the manoeuvres owing to various ills but Jjieut.-Colonol Reed has made amplo provision for such emergencies amongst the local infantry, and. has issued/a battalion order to tho offect that officers commanding companies must not grant leavo without-first referring the matter to him, and, further that those men who consider that they aro not medically fit to attend camp must bo examined by tho battalion doctor.
