SHIELD COxUEETITION FOR COLLEGE OLD BOYS. The "Wellington College Old Boys' Club has received a .communication from the Pre-, sidenfc of the Nelson College Old Boys, 'in which lie purposes to donate a shield for annual competition among the Old Boy clubs of secondary schools in tho Dominion. . In all' probability tho initial contest will be held, in Wellington at Easter between teams from Christelmreli, Nelson, Wanganui, and Wellington. At the same time a confercnco will bo held, and definite rules drawn up for future . ; A meeting of tlio Bakers' (Wednesday) Football Club was held yesterday ' evening,Mr. J. Harrison, vice-president, occupying thoi ehair. Tho' meeting ivas well attended, and the report presented by, the Secretary -was. voll received. It was stated that tho Club has a membership of 30, and overy effort is being mado to placo a strong team in the field.
