Mr. T. H. Davoy, M.P., left, by last night's ferry boat to. return to' Christchuhjh. He has been in indifferent health for somo time, but has benefited somowhat from a quiet holiday here.
. Mrs. Fox, daughter of Sir William Russell, and .wife of Colonel , Fox, at one time Commander of the Forces in New Zealand, arrived in Wellington from London by .the Maitai, oil' Sunday, accompanied by her sister,'i Miss .Russell.. . ' ' .

'scientific and practical plnmbing), whose remains- were interred at Sarori yesterday afternoon.'- Those, present included a numberi of students and -exstudeiits of j the Wellington"Technical School, where deceased was ah instructor., It is the intention of the. students to' assist in raising a memorial to the late Mr.'Reed.

Tho Ret'. J. Cocker, who has been appointed as the New Zealand delegate to the Primitive) '> Methodist Centenary Conference, to be held shortly in London, will leave for England by Thursday's boat. The 'oontonnry of Primitive Methodism is being marked by three separate conferences. The great openair meeting, held 'last year on Mow Cop, commemorated the' first camp meetings held by tho denomination;' Tho confcreiieo which Mr. Cocker is attending will mark another foatUre of the Church's origin, and a final cdnteuary conference will bo held in 1910 to commemorate the formation, of. tho;'first Primitive Methodist classes. . This year's conference will be held in tho. City Road Church, London, the first church of Mothodism, which his been specially lent for tho occasion. y
