There was a large audience present to witness the. delightfully-interesting series of animated pictures' that were presented at the Town Hall last evening. Among the best films were "A Race for Millions, "Saving the Colours," "Denizens of the Deep," arid some very beautiful views of. Inverness. There is to be a complete change of . programme tomorrow evening.
HERBERT FLEMING'S COMPANY. Mr. Herbert Flemming's' new- English company commences its Wellington season on Saturday next.' Upon Mr.'< Flemming's shoulders has fallen the mantle of the BroughBoucicault management of days gone by. It was .due largely to him that the BroiighFlemming Company wis formed, with- the object of carrying, on the traditions of the older organisation, and if was . his enterprise entirely that kept . that company in being after the lamented death of Robert Brough Since Mr. Flemming's last visit to this citv ,he has visited London, and has procured new pieces, and also a new company. On Saturday evening next the result of''his visit will bo submitted: to tho Wellington public for its approval. The first four nights of tho season will be devoted to "The Mummy and the Humming' Bird," a play that had a run in London of ,370 nights. A dramatisation lif the novel, Peter s Mother, • will then be staged. The box plan for the two productions will be, open at Jtlolliday's - to-morrow morning.
MATINEE ORGAN '• RECITAL. . Mr. Maughan Barnett will.give a.recital on the Town Hall organ to-morrow afternoon 'it four o'clock. The programme will include Mendelssohn s second sonata:, ; tho overture to "Zampa," Schubert's "Am Meer," and a new piece by Mr. Godfrey (Madame Clara Butt's accompanist).- , '• ',• ; "OUR BOYS."
