The delegates to the Council greeted the suggestion with laughter, but tho speaker, undaunted, wont on to say his ■idea was that these worker preachers should have a free hand to deal with labour matters even to the extent of " shocking their congregations " with Socialism. Clsborno, March 19. 'At a sheeting of the Poverty Bay Clerical Association a discussion took place on Socialism.'
