ST. THOMAS CHURCH.
At a mooting of the Vestry of St. Thomas' Church, Wellington South, oh Monday averting last, tho vicar reforrod in appreciative terms to tho services of J. H. Kemp,' who was . resigning tho oftuio of vicar's churchwardon, which ho ha* held! for the past two years, oil tho 6ve of a visit to tho Old Country, and expressed the hopo that tho trip will bo a pleasant and a benofioial ono. Mr., Salmon, parishioners' warden, spoke in similar terms on behalf of the parishioners geuorally. Dr. Kcinp having replied,'tho vicar nominated Mr. G-.' H. Butler as his churchwarden for the remainder of tho present financial year. At the samo meeting, tho vicar announced tho receipt of a gift ot £85, from an anonymous donor, who desired that the sum should bo invosted to form tho nuclcus of an" endowment to provido for. tho payment of tho stipends of tno parochial clorgy.. Tho gift was gladly accepted by tho vestry on tho conditions named, and a hearty Voto of thanks was passed to tho gonorous donor.
