The Objects and Powers of-the Company aro set out ,in the Memorandum of Association, which may be had on application to the Brokers. . This Company is being formed for the purpose of acquiring the properties' and « sets known as tho TYNBBIDB AND. WALLSEND COLLIERIES. •• as " The purchase price has been fixed at'£2o,ooo, payable as follows, viz'- £1(1 nnn In cash and £10,000 in fully paid-up shares. .' V - The Properties, consist of: — 1 , THE TYNESIDE COLLIERY, of 108 aorcs 2 roods and 3 perches . THE WALLSEND COLLIERY, of 14? acres and ,12 perches '. • THE RAILWAY RESERVE at Brunner, of 1 acre 1 rood and 4 nereliM PILCHER'S LEASE, of 57 acres; and 1 eS ' . :■ DOBSON'S iIIEA, of (540 acres. i' r Tho Tynesido Company purchased the Tyneside Mine about September 1903 and has worked it continuously ever sinco. A copy of the Report and Balance-sheet of tho Tynesido Company for the year ending 30th September, 1907, appears in tlm spectus. The nett profit, for that year amounted to £3684 ss. 2d., and thorn™ m,f put of coal for tho year was 83,66/ tons. The coal was readily sold in WnllirmTrm and other districts for household, steam, and gas purposes. The Wallsenrt Ml™ ... purchased about April, 1905, but has not hitherto been worked by tho Tyneside Company. . t • The Property has been carefully examined by Messrs. P. P.. ..'Daniel' TP <3 M.1.M.E.; Robert Alison, M:E.; Charles M'Queens, Robert Russell, W Watchman' and James Kennedy. Copies of these gentlomen's reports aro attached to'- tho DrosDoS! tus. From these it will be observed that there is ample coal obtainable * Tho Brokers need hardly point out that- BRUNNER'COAL is so well' known in nil parts of tho Dominion that description of its composition, structure, calorific valnn etc., is not required. It is admittedly one of the best bituminous coals in Aw-li.™"' and one admirably suited for steam, smithy, or household use. i'or coko makinc it* properties are widely appreciated, and as a gas coal it bears palm of being the best in the world. In this; connection it may be pointed out that the gasworks of Zealand consume annually over 200,000 tons of coal, and the consumption is rapidly incren<iinrr For gas making purposes there is. at present existent a special and certain market fnr double the prosont output of Brunnef coal, and for all other purposes That good coa"~i!l required, JJrunnor well holds its own in-tho front rank of competitors. The FIR&CLAY underlying tho Brunnor coal is admirably for the mariii" facture of every class of fire : bnck and fire-clay goods. At present tho consumption within Now Zealand is considerable, and an annual profit of £1000 can bo obtained without difficulty. With special mothods nud plant for the manufacture of'gasworks retorts/ tho'profit could be matorially .increased. In , tho event of iron being produced within tho Dominion,'.Brunncr fire-clay goods would bo in considerable demand As an adjunct to colliery operations this matter a well worth attention, ■ Copies of Prospectus and any further information may bo obtained from the Brokers. Early : application, for Shares is invited, and should be made and forwarded to the Brokers, on the form issued with tho Prospectus, accompanied by a oheque for the acnlication money. , ' FY C, HJORRING & CO., Nathan's Buildings, Grey Street, Wellington.
